As always I have been busy on the coffee front, and my latest news is that I have been invited to attend CoffeeCON as a media blogger for their event on May 4th.

CoffeeCON is a coffee conference for coffee lovers, not the coffee business. In fact, I believe it is the only conference of its kind.

This is their second year, and I’ll be in good company with other coffee bloggers in the media room. You’ll find the full list of bloggers covering the event here.

If you live in the Chicago area, and decide to attend, it would be great to meet you!

If not, don’t worry. I’ll be taking dozens of photos and videos and, once I am back and have everything sorted out, will add them to the Coffee Detective site.

(I’m even getting myself a new camera for the event. Any excuse!)

In separate news… A great new brewer for single-serve fans.

If you love the idea of having a single serve coffee maker, but don’t like being tied down to using just one single serve format…like K-Cups or coffee pods, I think you’ll like the BUNN MCU Single Cup Multi-Use brewer.

With this brewer you can use K-Cups OR coffee pods OR loose coffee. I think it’s a fabulous idea. You get total flexibility and, if you run out of K-Cups or coffee pods mid-week, you can just use it like a drip brewer with loose ground coffee.
